Keeping the Rhythm.

Welcome back!

Hopefully you've all been keeping on top of 'OUR' local music scene since my last blog with the guys from Barkhouse.

The Friday just gone was another chance for a wide range of musicians to feed their riffs and grooves to a bouncing crowd once again, quite obviously if you keep missing these FREE gigs you'll never understand.

Mint, Kubrick, Young Jack and Our Saving Day all proved well up to scratch, between Stevie Wonder covers and people screaming for Mints encore of Wolves I was blessed to see Our Saving Day blast some classic pop punk almost hardcore influenced tracks, last but definitely not least Kubrick another first time gig that proved to me the guys where all connected either at the hip or head! Full of early Editors and Placebo feels these 4 guys showed no fear in playing something a little different from the already unbalanced bill, which to me worked perfectly as the night flew by.

So the flavour of the night for me, all four bands. I feel as if music is becoming so square these days an not enough people are accepting musicians for there dedication and countless hours behind the tracks, which is a shame because drinking a beverage and listening to a live band is the greatest start to any great weekend.... You all seem to go to festivals happily, so why not enjoy local gigs? They're free after all, you might just be inspired to start your own bands or begin to follow a bands path to success.

Big thanks to everyone that helps and gets involved with the 'Don't fight it feel it' gigs, you've given me an opportunity to shoot and watch new upcoming bands and express my opinions into the music world!

Below is the link you should get on and start following for information on upcoming gigs in 'OUR' town!

Thanks again for listening to my rambles guys and gals!
